TABE 2024-2025 Kick-off Event: Economic Implications on Canada of Geopolitical Forces with Stuart Bergman (Chief Economist, EDC)
TABE 2024-2025 Kick-off Event: Economic Implications on Canada of Geopolitical Forces with Stuart Bergman (Chief Economist, EDC)
Wars in eastern Europe and the Middle East, sabre rattling in the South China Sea, political polarization, popular discontent, elections – one thing is clear, geopolitics increasingly matters especially for a small, open trading nation such as Canada. Indeed, the top three risks for Canada in 2024 that the Eurasia Group identified were all geopolitical in nature.
Just 19 days before the U.S. Presidential Election, TABE will be hosting its Kick-off Event for the 2024-2025 Programming Year. We have organized a fireside chat where Stuart Bergman (Chief Economist, EDC) will provide his insights on the economic implications on Canada of these and other geopolitical issues with Peter Hall (CEO, econosphere inc. and former Chief Economist at EDC).
The Kick-off Event will provide members with the opportunity to socialize, network, meet fellow business economists, learn and ask questions about geopolitical issues. Hors d’oeuvres will be served and all attendees will get two free drink tickets.
