Heidi Ertl Director – Energy Statistics Program Heidi Ertl

Heidi Ertl has more than 20 years of experience at Statistics Canada, most recently in the areas of producer and consumer prices, and the Digital Economy. Heidi is a member of the Steering Committee for the Ottawa Group on Price Indices, and has participated in numerous events and webinars related to CPI data and methods. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario.

Pdurk Chief – Energy Statistics Program Paul Durk

Paul Durk has more than 20 years of experience at Statistics Canada. The bulk of his career was spent on the production and development of the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

Paul has participated in numerous international collaboratives related to best practices for the introduction of and the use of administrative data into CPIs. He transitioned to the Energy program one year ago.

profile Strategic Advisor, Canadian Centre for Energy Information Jennifer Johnson

Jennifer Johnson is a Strategic Advisor with the Canadian Centre for Energy Information (CCEI) at Statistics Canada. Since 2020, she has been primarily responsible for managing the engagement and government processes to identify diverse data needs and priorities of stakeholders and developing work plans in collaboration with federal, provincial, and territorial partners. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Queen’s University.
