Ryan Cardwell
Professor, Department of Agribusiness & Agricultural Economics, University of Manitoba and Managing Editor at the Canadian Journal of Agricultural EconomicsRyan Cardwell is a Professor in the Department of Agribusiness & Agricultural Economics at the University of Manitoba, and is Managing Editor at the Canadian Journal of Agricultural Economics. He has a MA (Economics) from UBC and a PhD (Agricultural Economics) from the University of Saskatchewan. Ryan’s research interests include the economics of food policy, international trade regulation, and international food aid. Current research topics include public support for economic policies, the effects of government regulations on firm-level productivity, and the effects of tariff barriers on international food aid. Ryan worked as a private-sector economist at Moody’s Analytics/Economy.com in Philadelphia prior to his PhD studies. He is currently on research study leave at UBC.
