Ziad Ghanem is the director of Industry Accounts Division in the Macroeconomic Accounts Branch of Statistics Canada. He leads the division that is responsible for the production of the Supply, Use and Input-Output Tables and related models and analytical products as well as current period estimates of industry GDP. Recent work includes international cooperation projects that aim at developing a measurement framework for the digital economy through the compilation of Digital Supply and Use Tables and that also aim at a better understanding of Canada’s integration in global supply chains through the development of Extended Canada-U.S. Supply and Use Tables.
