AAAE (in-person) The Significant Economic Contributions of Atlantic Indigenous Businesses and Communities

Indigenous communities and businesses are key contributors to the Atlantic region’s economy. Their growing influence is evident through initiatives like the 2023 North American Indigenous Games and the acquisition of an interest in Clearwater Seafood. Historically, estimates of Indigenous communities’ economic contributions have been limited due to a lack of data. In this presentation, Fred will share insights from a recent Atlantic Economic Council research project that addresses this information gap.

Date and time: December 11, 12:00-1:00pm Atlantic Time

Cost:

In-person (includes lunch): member = $10 / non-member = $20

In-person location: Bank of Canada’s Atlantic Regional Office, 1701 Hollis St, Suite 1300, Halifax
