Issam Alsammak
Acting Director, Industry Accounts Division, Statistic Canada
Mr. Issam Alsammak is the Acting Director of the Industry Accounts Division. He has almost 20 years of experience in national accounts, gained at Statistics Canada, where he was primarily responsible for the compilation of the annual national and provincial supply and use tables; and at the International Monetary Fund, where he provided technical assistance on the compilation of real sector statistics to countries in the Middle East. In his current role, Issam oversees the compilation of the supply, use, and input-output tables, as well as the monthly national and annual provincial GDP by Industry programs. Issam is a graduate of McGill University.
