Romanos Priftis
Principal Researcher, Canadian Economic Analysis, Bank of CanadaRomanos Priftis is a Principal Researcher in the Projection Division of the Canadian Economic Analysis Department at the Bank of Canada. His research interests include monetary economics, fiscal policy, DSGE modelling and applied macro-econometrics. Prior to joining the Bank in 2017, Romanos worked as an Economist in the Modelling Unit of DG ECFIN at the European Commission, where he was involved in macroeconomic modelling and forecasting. He holds a BSc in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Nottingham, an MPA in Public and Economic Policy from the London School of Economics and a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute, Florence in 2015. He has published in leading academic journals such as The Economic Journal, the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, the Journal of Banking and Finance.
