AAAE 2025 Student Panel (virtual)

About

The student panel provides a great opportunity for students to present their research to a group of professional economists and potential future employers.

Students who participate in this event do not need to prepare a report, only a presentation. Past presenters have found this to be a highly beneficial experience and learning opportunity.

All presenters will receive a certificate of participation.

Presentations include:

Lydia Lee: Food Insecurity and Food Waste: Opportunities for Nova Scotia

Allison Knee: Does Balanced Budget Legislation Make a Difference? Evidence from Canadian Provinces, 1982-2022

Michael Adu-Gyamfi: How Do Provincial Governments in Canada Use Environmental Taxes?

Format

Panelists will make a short (10 min) presentation, in person or virtually, at the AAAE event on March 26th, 2025 from 12:00 to 1:00pm.

There will be a short question and answer session following each presentation.

Cost

Registration is free.
