AAAE Webinar: An Overview of the Halifax Housing Market
The presentation will cover the current state of Halifax’s housing market, analyzing key fundamentals, the rental market, new construction, and the resale market. This portion will also include a comparison of Halifax’s position relative to other major Canadian housing markets. Finally, the presentation will reveal our recently published housing market forecasts for 2025 to 2027.
Lukas Jasmin-Tucci

Lukas Jasmin-Tucci is the Lead economist and spokesperson for Halifax’s housing market. Lukas joined CMHC’s Market Insight team in 2017 and has covered the housing markets of Montreal and Ottawa-Gatineau. He holds of a master’s degree in economics from the University of Quebec in Montreal.
