AAAE Webinar: The Impact of Old Age Security Program on Health and Health Behaviours of Canadian Seniors
This presentation examines how Canada’s Old Age Security (OAS) program affects the health and well-being of low-income seniors. Drawing on national survey data, the study focuses on whether access to OAS at age 65 influences outcomes such as self-perceived health, life satisfaction, mental health, and health-related behaviours. By highlighting the broader role of income support in shaping health among financially vulnerable older adults, the presentation contributes to a deeper understanding of the social determinants of health in later life.
