Marci Surkes
Strategic Advisor, Compass RoseMarci Surkes has served at the most senior levels of federal governance. Executive director of policy and cabinet affairs in the Prime Minister’s Office from 2019-2022, Marci led the policy team providing strategic advice to the Rt. Hon. Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, implementing the government’s mandate through setting the agenda for Cabinet.
Marci was deeply involved in the federal government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the development of the new national system for Early Learning and Child Care, and played a key role in writing three federal Liberal electoral platforms. She has spearheaded a number of significant federal initiatives and pieces of legislation.
