Prior to joining Desjardins, he had nearly 13 years of experience on the buy-side and most recently as the lead oil & gas portfolio manager at a leading investment management firm in Toronto. Mason began his career as a process engineer in the Canadian oil & gas sector. Mason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Chemistry from Queens University and an MBA degree from the University of Toronto. He received his CFA designation in 2004 and has held an Alberta professional engineer designation since 1999.
