Donald Trump’s return to the White House has escalated US policy uncertainty with renewed threats of sweeping tariffs. We believe it’s most likely that Trump will phase in small, targeted tariffs, but blanket tariffs on Canada and other major US trading partners can’t be ruled out.

He leads the team responsible for preparing the macroeconomic forecast for Canada using Oxford Economics’ Global Economic Model, reporting on key data releases, as well as producing and presenting research on key issues affecting the Canadian economy.
