In response to the COVID-19 pandemic the Economics Research Group (ERG) at the City of Winnipeg developed an in-house pandemic based economic model to assess what impacts COVID-19 could have on our local economy depending on the evolution of the pandemic. This presentation will discuss the approach ERG has taken in developing COVID-19 pandemic scenarios, how these scenarios were linked to assess their economic impact and review the most recent scenarios released in March 2021.
