Budget 2024: Fairness for Every Generation includes measures to address the Canadian housing crisis, reduce the cost of living, foster inclusive economic growth, and establish a more fair tax system.

Housing measures will target housing supply, infrastructure and affordable rental challenges and restore generational fairness for renters, particularly Millennials and Gen Z renters.

More significant investments in new social safety net programs to reduce the costs of living, enhance productivity, and encourage innovation to create quality jobs and foster economic prosperity. The Budget also highlights a more fair tax allocation on the wealthy to reduce the debt burden on the next generation.

Overall, Budget 2024 provides an update on the federal government’s plan to strengthen and expand the middle class.
